Mesoplastics are plastic particles ranging in size from 5 to 25 mm, formed by the fragmentation of larger plastics and becoming microplastics. It is essential to understand the presence of mesoplastics during the summer and fall, as this will allow us to better understand how these materials are distributed and transported in the environment. Therefore, the general objective of this research was to determine the presence of mesoplastics in the sediments of Salaverry Beach - La Libertad, summer - fall 2022. A total of 566 mesoplastic items were collected, with June being the month with the highest number of items. The average number density was 23.58 items/m2 and the average weight density was 0.46 items/m2.
