The research aimed to determine if there is a relationship between nutrition and anemia in hospitalized children under 1 year old at an EsSalud hospital in Punchana 2023. The study was quantitative with a non-experimental, descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional design. The study sample consisted of 35 children aged 6 to 11 months hospitalized in the pediatrics department of the III EsSalud hospital and their mothers, during the year 2023. Two instruments were applied: a questionnaire to assess the child's nutrition and a record sheet to identify the hospitalized child with anemia. The results highlight that 74.3% of children aged 6 to 11 months and 29 days hospitalized with anemia, 48.6% had an unhealthy diet.
