Agriculture is one of the main sources of food production and for the generation of food, chemical inputs such as fertilizers, pesticides or insecticides are mainly used, which encourage the growth and protection of plants; however, they generate a negative impact on the environment and people's health. In 2018, in Peru, the use of chemical fertilizers generated more than one thousand five hundred giga grams of CO2eq while the cultivation of organic soils generated only seventeen giga grams, a significant difference when evaluating the impact generated by these products.
