The present work is aimed at examining the position of the lyric subject in the collectionof poems Choza by Efrafn Miranda Luján. Our readíng díscerns a controversia! discoursewith regard to white culture since it prompts a reversa! in relation to traditionalhegemonic discourse: in these poems the cultural Other is the White. The subjectmasterly handles the conceptual moulds that Western culture has constructed in arderto characterise the American Indian at the same time a profound skill at writing inSpanish is demonstrated. It is from this perspective that the non-conformist discourseis constituted.

Este trabajo presenta dos series literarias diferenciadas desde las operatorias y retóricas que se complementan con diferentes políticas editoriales y de mercado. Mediante la presentación de ambas, se pretende plantear qué posición toma la Academia ante estas políticas globalizadas y cómo se ubica el pensamiento crítico en torno a una literatura de corte comercial que no es el objeto de estudio que le posibilitó a la crítica llegar a conceptos productivos sobre América Latina. La cuestión es qué modo de operar pueden proponer los investigadores y críticos ante tal situación.
