Museums as a cultural institution of educational nature has as one of its main functions that of education, putting at service for their visitors objects, equipment and museographic and technological resources that, in most cases, are not accessible in schools and universities. The Amazonian National Museum was intended to be a public cultural space in the region and a reference spot for the knowledge and understanding of the Amazonia, the natural resources, geography, and cultural expressions specific to each Amazonian community, their history and cities. The museum promoted the research, conservation, education, exhibition and dissemination of tangible and intangible, natural and cultural heritage in their original context. The present article wishes to give to the general publica vision of museums since their original conception as a traditional museum, that nowadays; is turning into a new museology. The purpose of this article is to analyze if museums can be spaces of critical reflection for the recovery of the National Cultural Heritage of the Historic Center of Lima through temporary exhibitions and educational offers in museums. Currently, museums fulfill an important mission since they are spaces for continuous education and critical reflection thanks to permanent and temporary exhibitions that create identity. This is a quantitative non-experimental research with a descriptive-transversal approach. The unit of measurement is six museums in the Historic center of Lima, which have been chosen using the following criteria: UNESCO heritage value, infrastructure and operating conditions, and space for reflection.The results obtained have determined that museums have adequate infrastructure for the fulfillment of their functions, as they a...

The purpose of this article is to inform the community in general about the tourist and cultural attraction of the Casa Hacienda Shismay, after the recovery, enhancement and new cultural use of this architectural work, declared by the National Institute of Culture (Ministry of Culture of Peru) as a historic monument, belonging to the cultural heritage of the nation on July 9, 2008, by National Directorial Resolution N˚ 942/INC. The Casa Hacienda Shismay is located in the San Sebastian de Shismay Village Center, district of Amarilis, province and region of Huanuco, 17 km from the city of Huanuco.
