El incremento de la importancia económica en los servicios digitales ha cambiado la estructura del sector de los mercados digitales. En este contexto, nacen plataformas pertenecientes a mercados digitales de ecommerce, economía colaborativa y productos digitales: Facebook, Instagram, Uber, Glovo, Airbnb, entre otros. Si bien estas nuevas tecnologías facilitan la vida del usuario, las regulaciones en estos mercados son mínimas actualmente. La presente investigación se pregunta acerca de las implicancias de las fusiones que se ejecutan en estos mercados, así como los efectos de su control. La hipótesis que se plantea es que la regulación de fusiones debe centrarse en mercados digitales revolucionarios; es decir, productos digitales.
