El objetivo de este trabajo de investigación fue evaluar el efecto antimicrobiano de dos fuentes de aceite frente a Staphylococcus aureus y Coliformes fecales. Para la extracción del aceite se aplicó el método arrastre de vapor en donde se utilizó 5000g de muestra (muña, eucalipto), en lo cual el rendimiento presentó: muña 50ml = 0.9268%, eucalipto 52ml = 0.9717%, se le realizó una caracterización fisicoquímica cuyo resultado fue: en aceite de muña: índice de peróxido: 0.75 (Meq/Kg), índice de iodo: 6.87 (IV), índice de acidez:1.78 (%AGL), Índice de refracción: 1.486, densidad: 0.898 (g/ml).
