Objective: Infer the elements of the competitive strategy that affect the profitability of the cotton t-shirt Peruvian exporting companies. Method: The research method is correlational when trying to identify and formulate existing relationships between the proposed variables based on historical data and obtained data from surveys of 144 cotton t-shirt Peruvian exporting companies. Determina elementos de la estrategia competitiva que impactan en la rentabilidad y crecimiento de las empresas peruanas exportadoras de polos de algodón. Para determinar y formular las posibles relaciones existentes entre variables propuestas, se usó el método correlacional- explicativo. Se concluye que hay elementos de la estrategia competitiva que afectan a la rentabilidad y crecimiento de las empresas nacionales exportadoras de polos de algodón. Se identifica una relación entre indicadores del uso de la estrategia de liderazgo en costos y estrategia de diferenciación con el crecimiento y la rentabilidad de las empresas. Por otro lado, se genera una serie de acciones empleadas y no empleadas por las empresas nacionales para seguir esas estrategias.
