El presente ensayo explora la intersección entre la motivación humana y la teoría del actor-red (ANT, por las siglas en inglés de actor-network theory) como un enfoque alternativo para comprender los fenómenos motivacionales en contextos educativos. Desde una mirada posmoderna, se plantea que la motivación no debe entenderse exclusivamente como una fuerza interna, sino como un flujo dinámico de agencia distribuido en redes sociotécnicas que involucran tanto a actores humanos como no humanos. Se revisan modelos clásicos y contemporáneos de motivación, incluyendo teorías biológicas, psicológicas, sociales y culturales, para posteriormente reinterpretar este constructo a la luz de los principios de simetría, traducción y materialidad propuestos por la ANT.
