Cr is one of the most polluting heavy metals that can be found in wastewater from various industries, mainly tanneries; Being Cr (VI) the most toxic known for its carcinogenic character, represents a threat to health and the environment. The objective of this work is to evaluate the contamination by Cr in the Chili River and PIRS in the city of Arequipa, in order to corroborate that the values obtained are within the Maximum Permissible Limits (LMP) and Environmental Quality Standards (ECA) Established by law. A monitoring was carried out fixing four sampling points in the Chili River (Charcani, Puente Tiabaya and Uchumayo) and PIRS, specifically in the affluent of the oxidation lagoon; And the concentrations of Cr were determined by spectrophotometry and voltammetry. The values found for the samples of the Chili River, reveal that the concentrations of Cr do not surpass the ECA. Howev...

Two simple, rapid, selective and sensitive bioanalytical methods were developed and validated by HPLC-DAD, one for the determination and quantification of phenytoin, and another for inhibitors of P-glycoprotein (tariquidar and elacridar) using 0.2ml of plasma. The analytes were separated using Chromolith® Performance RP-18 100 - 4.6 mm column, with a mobile phase composed of ACN: 10mM acetate buffer pH = 5.2 (27.5: 72.5) for phenytoin and its EI, forthe determination of tariquidar , elacridar and its EI ACN: MeOH: 10mM acetate buffer pH = 5.2 (30:50:20) was used, in both methods a flow of 1mL / min, temperature of 25 ± 1 ° C, a complement of slingshot of 210nm The methods proved to be linear and sensitive, the phenytoin method in the range of 100 to 50,000 ng / mL (LC = 36.98 ng / mL, LD = 98.79 ng / mL) and inhibitors of 100 to 20,000 ng / mL (LC = 36.98 ng / mL, LD = 98.79 ng / mL),...

A rapid, sensitive, precise and accurate High Performance Liquid Chromatography method was developed and validated for the determination of N-3-methoxybenzyl-linoleamide levels in Sprague Dawley rat brain. During sample preparation, acetonitrile was used as extraction solvent and N-benzyl-palmitamide as internal standard. The analyte was separated on a Chromolith® Performance column with isocratic elution of acetonitrile-ultrapure water (80:20, v/v) at 1.0 mL/min and 40°C. Detection was performed using a diode array detector at a wavelength of 205 nm. The selectivity of the method was confirmed by the absence of interferences from endogenous compounds. The developed method was used to construct linear calibration curves over the concentration range of 250 and 10 000 ng/mL (R2 ≥ 0.9900). Using 500 μg of brain homogenate, the validated lower limit of quantification was 250.0 ng/mL. In...
