This essay reviews the theoretical-methodological contributions of Carlos Ramos Núñez, university professor and constitutional magistrate, in the field of interdisciplinary studies of law and literature. Although the author takes as a basis the classical model elaborated by American and European jurists. He makes a significant contribution by dealing in a special way with the «reconstruction and discussion of famous cases». This particular vision reflects his training as a legal historian and his affinities in favor of a cultural analysis of the legal phenomenon. This is undoubtedly necessary for the gradual construction of a Latin American identity in law and literature studies to strengthen the movement at the regional level.

This essay provides an introductory guide to the contributions that Ivan Rodriguez Chavez, Rector of the Ricardo Palma University, led the Law and Literature Movement in Peru. Under this tenor, the central axis of reflection that guides the present investigation lies in offering a look at the notion of justice in Rodriguez Chavez, which later is linked to Vallejian poetic justice. Starting from the justice classes, the author made a reading in iuspoetic key of four poems by César Vallejo, analyzed in his essay "Justice in Vallejo's poetry". Namely: "Our bread", poem XXIII by Trilce, "Black stone on a white stone" and "Hymn to the volunteers of the Republic".

This essay seeks literary and philological approaches to some central problems of the theory of law, such as the original meaning of justice and obedience to the legal norm. For this purpose, it will be analyzed the poem «Justicia» (Justice) by the Peruvian poet Blanca Varela, published in her poetry book Canto villano and the interpretation of the aphorism «la ley es la ley» (the law is the law) by Mario Montalbetti in El más crudo invierno (The harshest winter).
