In the present study we have established the basic metabolism in various regions of Peru, in populations at sea level, at different heights and in tropical regions. 167 determinations have been performed (not counting eliminated many imperfect cooperation), using the method of indirect calorimetry, or oxygen consumption in appliances Sanborn and Benedict Roth with the graphical method.
