El evento vascular cerebral (EVC) es el desarrollo rápido de un déficit neurológico focal causado por la falta de aporte sanguíneo al área cerebral correspondiente, una vez establecida los síntomas persisten durante 24 horas o más. La identificación rápida y precisa del EVC hemorrágico y su diagnóstico es vital para disminuir el daño cerebral irreversible, evitar recurrencia y así conseguir una mejor recuperación funcional del paciente.
