Postmodernity opens new discursive sources that tend to relativize the areas of philosophical knowledge, is the case of Andean philosophy, harshly questioned in its genesis and development. Faced with this situation, various positions arise on the subject in question, being that of Josef Estermann the most outstanding, characterized by trying to get rid of Eurocentrism and colonial perspectives established by the canonical tradition. Despite the above, Estermann’s work (Filosofía Andina. Estudio intercultural de la sabiduría autóctona andina), is based on objectionable categories such as: metaphysics, humanism and hyperbolization of philosophy; for this reason, his project is an attempt to insert old canons into a contemporary intercultural project. We propose a critique of modernity from the Andean myths, especially those of the Huarochirí Manuscripts. To carry out this task we approach the work of Franz Hinkelammert, highlighting above all his study of modern reason, and how it generates new myths to cover up, justifying exploitation and world domination. In dialogue with this philosopher we want to show the possibility of critically thinking about modernity from another horizon, that of Andean culture, since at the same time that modern myths arise, he also elaborates critical myths of modernity, which can be claimed as part of a broad movement of resistance.

Propone una interpretación filosófica del Manuscrito de Huarochirí. Frente a lo enunciado, casi inmediatamente, aparecen dos obstáculos que sortear; por un lado, la formación eurocéntrica de nuestros filósofos impide ver y valorar el legado de los pueblos originarios; por otro lado, nos topamos con la insuficiencia de los abordajes científicos, pues al tratar los mitos del Manuscrito se lo encasilla en las ciencias sociales únicamente.
