El objetivo del presente estudio fue determinar la relación que existe entre la severidad de la inflamación gingival de las adolescentes y adultas embarazadas. Para dicho propósito se evaluó a 120 pacientes de las cuales 48 fueron adolescentes (en dos grupos etáreos: 14-17 y 17-19) y 72 adultas (en tres grupos etáreos: 20-24; 25-29 y 30-35), divididas según trimestre de embarazo. Los parámetros clínicos a evaluar fueron índice gingival de Löe y Sillnes e índice de placa de Sillnes y Löe.
