Objective: To determine the level of knowledge about contraceptive methods in undergraduate nursing students. Method: Quantitative cross-sectional study. The study was carried out in the period from June to August 2022. Students enrolled in the nursing degree at a private university in the Laja-Bajío region of Guanajuato, Mexico participated. The level of knowledge questionnaire on contraceptive methods was used. Main Results: 125 students between 18-27 years old participated, where females predominated (68%). The level of knowledge about contraceptive methods predominates the average level with 64%. General conclusion: Students enrolled in a health program have average knowledge about contraceptive methods, so this is advisable to delve into issues about their effectiveness and prevention of Sexually Transmitted Diseases in the study plans.

The objective of this essay was to reflect on the meanings about eating habits from the mothers' voice through Symbolic Interactionism. Food is a basic need for people and provides the body with the nutrients it needs for optimal functioning and health preservation. Unhealthy diets are among the top ten risk factors for disease worldwide, behaviors characterized by consumption of sugary drinks, carbohydrates and high salt content. It is a problem in which social and cultural factors are involved in each context or region; mothers as social beings attribute meanings to food, select, prepare, consume and give food to their children; understanding the meaning as a social product that motivates unhealthy eating behavior derived from the interaction in the upbringing of their children, family and society. Support for the legalization of marijuana has increased around the world. Although, one of the concerns about the proposal regarding the legalization of medical and recreational marijuana use is the potential increase in consumption and related damages in the population after its legalization. Just over 10 years after the legalization of marijuana use in the United States and some other parts of the world, it has been a great challenge for health professionals. This essay presents a perspective of the current situation of the phenomenon in the adolescent population, from which some implications for the nursing profession are proposed.

Objective: Determine the association between attitudes towards breastfeeding and the practice of exclusive breastfeeding in Mexican mothers. Material and method: The study design was descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional. The sample was 169 mothers. Biological mothers with at least one child from 0 to 24 months of age and with signed informed consent were included. We used a sociodemographic data card, the Scale of Attitudes towards Infant Feeding and questions about the practice of breastfeeding. We calculated univariate and bivariate descriptive statistics. Results: The sample of this study involved 169 dyads (mother and son). The mean age of the mothers was 27,22 (SD = 5,70) years.
