La constancia del arquitecto Miguel Guzmán, que resulta en esta publicación ”Actas del I Congreso Internacional de Arquitectura Andina. Arquitectos y arqueología. “En homenaje a Emilio Harth-Terré””, me remonta a 1987, cuando en forma similar, el antropólogo Víctor Rangel organizó el “I Simposium “Arquitectura y Arqueología. Pasado y futuro de la construcción en el Perú” en el que participaron arqueólogos de la talla de Walter Alva, Ruth Shady, Alberto Bueno, Alfredo Narváez, Mercedes Cárdenas, Elisabeth Bonnier, Lorenzo Samaniego y el restaurador Ricardo Morales y arquitectos como Carlos Williams, Víctor Pimentel, Santiago Agurto, José Pineda, Carlos Milla, José Beingolea y otros, evento en el que tuve el privilegio de participar y coincidentemente por parte de los arquitectos, le rendimos homenaje a Harth-Terré, a cargo de Beingolea.

The title of this publication is overwhelming, names the settlements that developed around the year 3,000 a. C. in the valley of Supe fruit of a civilization with its own name: Caral. Nine urban centers in the Supe Valley are considered in this publication by Ruth Shady and her professional team. The discoveries made during the last 15 years in the valley of Supe (and Vichama, on the coast of Huaura) by the archaeologist Ruth Shady and her work team have been so huge that they have allowed her to state the existence of a social system (last title phrase).
