The objective of this paper is to extend the application range of ISO 9001:2008 in Education Institutions related to the quality accreditation processes. To this purpose, performance implications using this regulation are presented. Furthermore, it will be ob-served to which extent the implementation of quality assurance processes are favorable to leading towards accreditation. Conclusions: The standardization of a quality manage-ment system based on ISO 9001 does not imply that education services offered have to be identical in the world. Normalization respects particular organization designs regarding the requirements they want to achie-ve, the documentation of how things are attained and the verification of accomplishments. This article addresses in bioethics from an educatio-nal context. The need to incorporate it as an applied discipline within enterprise education, to guide the establishment of principles and the approach to situa-tions involving human life is posed. Among the topics covered are concepts and principles of bioethics and its relationship with business functions, the state’s role as guarantor of citizen education law and building a just and humane society, reasons why include it as a discipline in university curriculum, develop compe-tencies in students aspects comprising the training of trainers, methods and strategies for curriculum design, challenges and perspectives presented for training in bioethics. El objetivo de este artículo es ampliar los alcances de la aplicación de la norma ISO 9001:2008 en Instituciones universitarias en relación con los procesos de acreditación de la calidad. Con este propósito, se presentan implicancias del funcionamiento del uso de esta norma. Asimismo, se observará en qué medida resulta favorable ésta, para la ejecución de procesos de aseguramiento de calidad conducentes a acreditaciones. Conclusiones: La estandarización de un sistema de gestión de la calidad basado en ISO 9001 no implica que los servicios de enseñanza ofertados tengan que ser iguales en el mundo.
