La investigación tiene como objetivo reducir la concentración de manganeso y plomo para el uso del servicio ambiental en las aguas de la “Laguna la Milagrosa” Chilca, con la especie Phragmites australis mediante el tratamiento del humedal artificial para alcanzar los niveles de concentración, según los Estándares de Calidad Ambiental (ECA) de agua recreacional. La construcción del humedal refiere de: piedra chancada, confitillo, arena gruesa, tierra orgánica, baldes, Phragmites australis (Carrizo) y la extracción de 30 litros de agua de la laguna.
