This thesis Design of a biological corridor for the conservation of the tití monkey - Callicebus oenanthe between ACM Almendra and the Morro de Calzada, represents an important stratergy for the protection for one of the world's 25 most threatened primate species. According to recent surveys made by the tit monkey project habitat for this species is extremely fragmented due to human activities over the last years. This threat is much more serious when you consider that C. oenanthe is restricted to flat areas in our region bellow 1100 masl; in which areas activities such as coffee, rice, com and pasture cultivation have increased greatly through the activities of immigrants from other regwns.
