La administración combinada de agentes antimicrobianos es usada frecuentemente en la práctica clínica para incrementar la eficacia terapéutica, la cual puede mejorarse ampliando el espectro antimicrobiano con la interacción sinérgica de una combinación específica de fármacos como es el caso de la asociación de ceftriaxona con gentamicina. Se determinaron los parámetros farmacocinéticos K, t1/2, AUCoa, AUC024, Vd, Cltotal y Cpmáx de la ceftriaxona sola y de la ceftriaxona coadministrada con gentamicina en 10 personas voluntarias aparentemente sanas, las cuales fueron estandarizadas con similares condiciones. The objective was to identify a line of Stevia sp. with high concentrations of total glycosides and rebaudioside A, from cultivate of Fundo América in Santa Rita Siguas- Arequipa, to propagate it at commercial scale. Participating entities were Fundo América and UC SM, with support from the Program of Science and Technology (FINCyT). Samples of leaves were selected to identify Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni and Stevia puberula hybrids by DNA extraction and amplification with RAPD markers, identifying molecular markers for each one. Three hybrids of Stevia were selected by its higher content of stevioside and rebaudioside A: TU-12, TU-13 and TR-14, using a new method developed in the research through isocratic elution with NH2 columns by HPLC. Biogas is a biofuel, product of anaerobic digestion of organic products. Its calorific power is low (18 MJ/Nm3) and improves when it is converted to biomethane by elimination of CO2, water steam and H2S. We set out to develop technology to purify the biogas obtained at the HPTC plant of Catholic farm in Pedregal-Majes, for which a filtering system by purification with pressurized water (Scrubber) was designed, built and evaluated, to reduce the content of CO2 to lower values than 5% V/V; we work at 03 operating pressures (6, 9 and 10bar) combined with 03 temperatures (10, 15 and 20ºC), obtaining the best purification result, 4,3% V/V of CO2 at 10°C and 10bar pressure. Rice dust is a material considered waste; however it contains 20.51% oil in that variety NIR 43. Oil extraction from rice dust by using supercritic fluids showed more advantages than traditional methods. Since it is a fluid solute dissolution is easier . By being a gas it allows an easy separation of matrix which results in a faster, more efficient and selective extraction of oil. To design this 4 liter equipment we tried in the lab rice dust at different pressures and temperatures in order to get better performance without altering essential characeristics.

Rice is one of the products with great economic importance in the southern region of our Country, mainly in the area of Corire, Arequipa region, which has successfully developed high yields mainly varieties IR 43 and Tacuarí. In order to take advantage of the products of husped rice, such as bran, we proposed an oil extraction technique by supercritical fluid which allows us to extract oil by means of high pressure and low temperatures. Initially a machine of supercritical fluids 100 ml capacity in the laboratory allowing the search for oil extraction parameters achieving yields close to 20% , then the design and construction of a machine of 04 liters of capacity with successful results. The research was conducted with support from FINCYT, Chapí Rice Mill Company and institutions like the Universidad Católica de Santa Maria and the Instítuto de Investigacion del Sur.

The novel coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19, had been reported for the first time in December 2019, in Wuhan China. To date, around 6 777 435 cases of COVID-19 were confirmed and 395 597 deaths worldwide. The COVID-19 outbreak is the largest in the past decades and is caused by a newly discovered coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2). On March 11th, 2020, the world Health Organization (WHO) has declared the COVID-19 a “Pandemic” with high rate of morbidity and mortality. This review synthesizes the scientific evidence and reports in the literature. The content of this manuscript presents the opinions of specialists and we present our interpretation and recommendations to the Peruvian government.
