La presente tesis tiene como objetivo: El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar la asociación entre el sobrepeso gestacional, la multiparidad y la edad materna y la ocurrencia de macrosomía fetal en el Hospital ESSALUD- Huánuco en el período Abril2010- Julio 2013. Se realizó un estudio de casos y controles, contándose con 200 mujeres embarazadas, 100 casos y 100 controles, pacientes del hospital Essalud - Huánuco en el Perú, en el período abril 2010- julio 2013. Los datos fueron obtenidos de las historias clínicas, y de las hojas CLAP. Resultados: Las gestantes con edad mayor o igual a 35 años presentaron 3 veces más riesgo de tener un niño macrosómico comparado con las menores de 35 años, (p =0, 001) (OR 3,451) (IC 95%). Introduction: Overweight and obesity in adolescents are experiencing, globally, a progressive increase in prevalence, which our country and even our region are not unrelated. The aim of the present study was to determine the prevalence of overweight and obesity in adolescents aged 10 to 17 years insured in the metropolitan district of Huánuco.
