This work is focused on one of the traces left by Art Deco in the historic center of the Peruvian capital. It is the Gildemeister building and two questions are analyzed about it, on the one hand its value and on the other the level of diffusion reached among the people. Thanks to the analysis, it is known that there is indeed an appreciation and that there have also been some initiatives trying to spread its history and architecture. However, all this remains restricted to the academic and institutional sphere, being necessary to cross those limits to strengthen the heritage character of the property.

The process of intervention of the Ruiz Dávila Hospice, a nineteenth-century building located in the Historic Center of Lima, was carried out between 2010 and 2012. Furthermore, the finished works were inaugurated in June of this last year. In the development of the works, there were a series of stages such as the conditioning of the environments, the dismantling of some structures, the construction works, the complementary works, the follow-up, the documentation of the work and finally its inauguration. All this was done not by the work of a single person, but by a group of professionals with diverse skills and extensive experience, whose joint work can be seen today. The final product has had, however, both its critics and its defenders. Diseñar una propuesta de difusión de los inmuebles en Lima de la primera mitad del siglo XX según el estilo Art Deco, lque esté orientada a brindar contenidos y a su vez a motivar a la gente a sentir aprecio por los bienes en cuestión. Para elaborar una propuesta de tales características se utilizó una muestra conformada por diez edificios representativos y otra compuesta por 32 personas sin estudios afines a la Historia, el Arte, el Turismo o la Arquitectura, cuyas edades fluctuaban entre los 20 y 59 años. Las opiniones recogidas fueron complementadas con información hallada en fuentes documentales y bibliográficas, a todo lo cual se sumó el aporte de otras experiencias de gestión similares.
