This research study of descriptive correlational cross-sectional was conducted with mothers of children under 5 years of age to that registered in the Module of the Child Care Health Post "High Moche" during the months from May to July of 2008, with the purpose of determining the relationship between factors biosocioculturales (age, educational level, occupation and level of information) and maternal practices in the prevention of acute respiratory infections. The sample consisted of 78 mothers selected according to established criteria for inclusion.
