Objetivo: Medir e identificar cambios en la tendencia temporal de mortalidad por enfermedades isquémicas cardiacas (EIC) en población peruana. Métodos: Se realizó un estudio ecológico con los datos de la base de registros individuales de defunciones del Ministerio de Salud del Perú entre los años 2005 y 2017. Se consideró una muerte atribuible a EIC si esta se registró con los códigos del sistema de Clasificación Internacional de Enfermedades en su décima edición (CIE-10) del I20 a I25. Se obtuvo las tasas de mortalidad por EIC crudas y ajustadas por edad para la población y según sexo. Se realizó un análisis de regresión joinpoint para evaluar las tendencias en mortalidad por EIC. This study aims to measure and identify changes in the temporal trend in mortality from ischemic heart disease in the Peruvian population.
