One of the issues gaining attention in the Peruvian social sciences is the growing political power harnessed by Evangelicals, especially on its ultra-conservative wing. This article will examine the factors that led to the progressive hegemonization of fundamentalism within the Peruvian Protestantism from 1980 onwards. This means, firstly, to review the key concepts of the discussion about the Evangelical identity, as well as to analyze the internal ideological tensions within said religious community. Thereby, delineating the historical process that has taken fundamentalism from a minority religious and cultural force into a political force aspiring to hegemonize the Peruvian religious and political stage.

At the turn of the 20th century, as part of their settlement in Peru, Protestant missionaries developed a large production of texts focused mainly on the Andean world, which they described, analyzed, categorized, and evaluated, just like other Western explorers in the age of imperialism. In this note, I argue that this bibliographical corpus constitutes a specific literary subgenre: the missionary chronicle. From a historiographical perspective, the Protestant missionary chronicles are valuable sources for both the history of the Protestantism and the study of the Andean world from its interaction with missionaries amid the rise of Western imperialism.

El siguiente artículo se propone esbozar la relación de la guerra con la política en los términos expuestos por Clausewitz en «De la Guerra». En este sentido, se ha procurado indagar las bases teóricas de este libro, así como la concepción que tenía este militar sobre la política, comprendiéndola como un fenómeno conflictivo de intensidad que gradualmente puede escalar. Finalmente, se esbozan algunas consideraciones acerca de la teoría de Clausewitz y su relación con lo que se conoce como Nuevas Guerras, concluyendo que a pesar de estos recientes estudios, la tesis de Clausewitz de la guerra como un fenómeno invariable asociado a la política prevalece como el paradigma más certero para la comprensión de la guerra.

En la ciudad de Iquitos, ubicada en el nor-oriente del Perú se realizo un diagnostico de las empresas de transformación primaria de la madera, con la finalidad de conocer el numero de estas empresas, su ubicación, el rubro a lo que se dedican, la producción diaria, los problemas mas frecuentes que enfrentan e identificar las necesidades de capacitación e investigación y en base a ello formular propuestas para el desarrollo de la actividad industrial maderera en Iquitos. Para desarrollar este trabajo se realizaron encuestas estructuradas a los propietarios o gerentes de las industrias, mas una apreciación ocular del proceso productivo in - situ y entrevistas informales a los trabajadores de estas empresas.
