Estos nuevos relatos son la continuación de los “Veinticinco relatos para no olvidar” que el Instituto de Derechos Humanos y Democracia de la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (IDEHPUCP), publicó en el año de 2014 y que buscaban llegar a las nuevas generaciones, para que conozcan algunos de los acontecimientos más importantes del Perú durante los años 1980 al 2000. Años de experiencia terrible de violencia interna y violaciones de los derechos humanos por parte de ambos polos principales del conflicto, es decir, los grupos alzados en armas y las fuerzas armadas y policiales. Mala muestra de la intolerancia a la que llegamos entre los peruanos y de nuestra incapacidad de ponernos de acuerdo, mostrarnos como seres humanos y tratarnos como hermanos. Así, conociéndolos y reflexionando sobre ellos, cada lector puede sacar sus propias conclusiones.
