Arequipa is a peruvian south city with more than 70000 Solar Energy Water Heating Systems (know in spanish as SCAES). In this area there are more than 30 solar thermal manufacturers. They do not have laboratories to collet  standarized data about  characteristics and efficiency of their SCAES. In this research, a group of test was installed to evaluate the efficiency of three flat plat solar collectors (2m2). This study was made under the Peruvian technical standard NTP 399.400 2001. As result, the range of maximum efficiency values and the global coefficient of losses of the SCAES was found.

En la zona altoandina de Arequipa las velocidades del viento son bajas de allí que conocer el comportamiento de la turbinas eólicas, podemos generar energía eléctrica. Iniciamos la tesis revisando las diferentes teorías la cantidad de movimiento, límite de Betz, teoría del momento cinético, teoría del elemento de pala BEM y la teoría vorticial; así como investigar el recurso eólico mundial al 2017 cuya capacidad llego a 539 GW, en el Perú el potencial eólico aprovechable es de 22GW con una potencia instalada de 394MW, de la región Arequipa el potencial es de 1,16GW y el mapa eólico determina que la velocidad del viento esta entre 3 a 5m/s.
