The supernumerary teeth (mesiodens), located between the upper incisors, are often extracted for aesthetic or functional reasons. During their extraction, certain complications must be considered. One such complication is the proximity to the nasopalatine canal, where contact with the vascular-nervous bundle can lead to sensory alterations and other complications. Objectives: To evaluate the presence of supernumerary teeth within the nasopalatine canal using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans conducted at the INNOVA 3D Radiological Center. Materials and Methods: A total of 2,805 CBCT images taken in 2023 were reviewed. Of these, 74 images presented supernumerary teeth in the anterosuperior region.    ABSTRACT Objective: To determine the frequency of indifference to dental treatment in young adults aged 18 to 44, from the Totoracocha parish, Cuenca-Ecuador, 2017. Materials and Methods: A quantitative study with a descriptive cross-sectional design was carried out in individuals of both sexes. , between the ages of 18 to 44 years to whom the Nuttall DIS survey was applied, the sample size was calculated with the probabilistic, stratified and proportional sampling formula, plus 10% for loss effects, surveying 586 persons. The information was entered into the EPI Info 7 database, discarding the surveys that did not present informed consent, that had studs, and age groups not belonging to the corresponding age, the information was reviewed by the research area of the dental career .      Objetive: To determine the prevalence of caries in schoolchildren of 6 years of age in the Machángara parish of the Cuenca city in 2016. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out on epidemiological aspects, the sample consisted of 104 patients of 6 years old, of which 58% corresponded to females and 42% to males. For the detection of the disease the operators were calibrated and standardized in universal criteria of the World Health Organization on the use of epidemiological indexes applied to the primary dentition. Results: The results obtained showed that the prevalence of caries in the 6-year-old students of the Machángara parish is 87.50%. It was also found that the distribution of the disease according to sex is higher in the female sex with a percentage 59%, compared to the male sex that has a percentage of 41%.
