La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo evaluar los procesos cognitivos de la lectura y escritura y diseñar un plan de intervención en problemas de aprendizaje como consecuencia de un déficit en estos procesos. Fue un diseño de estudio de casos múltiples. Los participantes fueron dos alumnos de 3ro y 4to grado de primaria de una institución educativa privada del distrito de La Molina, que presentaron dificultades en la lectura y escritura. Los instrumentos utilizados en la evaluación fueron: Batería de evaluación de procesos de la escritura (PROESC); Batería de evaluación de procesos lectores (PROLEC-R); Prueba de Rendimiento Ortográfico (PRO); Evaluación de la comprensión lectora (ECLEC). The student's current situationin Peru is very critica! since there are several factors that irtipede their development, specially the conditions under which they live, and the social, economic and health aspects that prevent them from studying. Likewise, the reality of education is shown in this article: how it is financed, the inequity in the different sectors, the educational gap regarding the conditions and infrastructure, the condition under which students learn and teachers teach. This is only a glimpse on how we are now, and how we will be consideringthat today students are our future. Thus, if there is nota good education from the beginning, little will hold the future for us.
