This research has allowed us to observe the ballast water management conditions in our first port and its impact on the health of maritime vessel workers, appreciating the procedures of the on-board personnel. In this study it is observed if compliance with regulations and aspects that are evaluated and interpreted to understand the nature of the problem are considered, with respect to people and the core is the exposure due to ignorance or negligence, to propose the instruction of the personnel to prevent unfortunate events from occurring.
