This study addresses the need for a sustainable tourism model that combines agroecology and cultural heritage in the Ezequiel Zamora Botanical Garden, Alto Barinas Parish, Barinas Municipality, Venezuela. The purpose is to identify, characterize, and value agroecological and heritage tourism resources to design a sustainable route that benefits visitors and the local community. A qualitative participatory approach was used, revealing a territory with agricultural, natural, and cultural potential, although the lack of infrastructure and limited community integration are key challenges to developing a sustainable tourism route. The Covid-19 pandemic allowed a paradigm shift to all destinations in the world, where the tourism system took advantage of the face-to-face gap in educational institutions or centers, integrating virtual learning teaching environments (VEA) for training in tourism agroecological. This article seeks to disseminate the management indicators of the training in agroecological tourism from the Moodle platform, in turn a qualitative investigation was carried out with the method of systematization of educational experiences, with a descriptive design - field and documentary techniques. Agro-ecological tourism is presented as a driver of sustainable development in rural communities, but its implementation faces the challenge of a lack of alignment between resources, supply, and demand. This problem is particularly evident in La Unión de Atacames, Ecuador, where, despite its rich cultural heritage, there is a lack of comprehensive strategic planning. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyze how the interaction of these three components can strengthen this model of tourism. The research used a participatory methodology, divided into three phases: diagnosis, market study, and resource inventory.
