This study addresses the need for a sustainable tourism model that combines agroecology and cultural heritage in the Ezequiel Zamora Botanical Garden, Alto Barinas Parish, Barinas Municipality, Venezuela. Agro-ecological tourism is presented as a driver of sustainable development in rural communities, but its implementation faces the challenge of a lack of alignment between resources, supply, and demand. This problem is particularly evident in La Unión de Atacames, Ecuador, where, despite its rich cultural heritage, there is a lack of comprehensive strategic planning.
