The difficulties for a grammatical research of Pukina language based on its only textual vestige of relevance, the Rituale seu manuale Peruanum (Ore 1607), are exposed in this paper. The case for the grammatical status of Pukina possessive markers is used as an example. One of the conclusions is that Rituale’s pukina texts allow not only postulating two contrary assertions regarding the status of such markers, but also finding evidence for both of them.

In this paper I aim to describe the way body parts were conceptualized by early seventeenth century Quechua speakers, Also I intend to show the conceptualization of metaphoric and metonymic expressions in which body parts were involved. The corpus analyzed here is constituted by the Huarochirí manuscript(1608) and the Cotahuasi letters (1616), both of textual nature.

A relevant conceptual framework is presented for the study of lexical borrowing between the native languages of the Americas, and within these parameters, a review of the current state of research on lexical borrowing between the Quechua and Nihagantsi language families is conducted (Nihagantsi, also called “Kampan”, is a branch of the Maipuran family, which in turn belongs to the Arawakan group). These two families have traditional territories that border each other in the Peruvian Andes. By analyzing the literature, a journey is made from the late 19th century to the present, encompassing both marginal comments found in catechetical works and systematic academic studies. Realizamos un análisis discursivo y de ideologías de una muestra de casaciones con temática de violación sexual emitida por la Corte Suprema de Justicia de Perú. En concreto, describimos las citas al diccionario común hechas por los enunciadores (jueces que integran la Sala Penal Permanente de la Corte Suprema) e identificamos las funciones de estas citas, así como las ideologías implícitas en estas funciones. Concluimos que las citas al diccionario común funcionan como premisas argumentativas, el diccionario común es concebido como una autoridad lingüística y las lenguas, como inmutables y homogéneas.
