Suicide is a public health problem. Suicide by hanging is seen in all ages, starting around the age of 10-12. "Hanging injuries" is the term used to refer to people who survive after hanging. We present the case of a pediatric patient who survived mechanical asphyxia by hanging. A 12-year-old female patient who recently attempted suicide by hanging herself was admitted to the nearest hospital presenting "near-hanging injuries." She received ventilatory support and sedation-analgesia in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), treating cerebral edema with mannitol. Upon discharge, she presented neurological and structural sequelae. Although suicide is one of the most common causes of death in the pediatric population, near-hanging injuries are rare in this setting. El VIH produce defectos inmunológicos celulares que aumentan el riesgo de desarrollar ciertas neoplasias, como los linfomas El objetivo del presente estudio es identificar los factores propios del paciente, inmunológicos y farmacológicos asociados a la supervivencia en pacientes con linfoma y VIH. Este estudio, es un estudio descriptivo, retrospectivo, cuya población fue de 23 casos en donde 13 de ellos fallecieron antes de los 12 meses y 7 sobrevivieron más de 12 meses. Los resultados de este estudio fueron: la media de edad de diagnóstico es de 38,95 años, existe predominancia en el sexo masculino 73,91%. La media de CD4 es de 197,9 cel. /mm3. (<200), La media de carga viral es de 201 510,95 copias/ul, Todos los pacientes fueron diagnosticados en estadio SIDA, todos los pacientes que sobrevivieron por más de 12 meses recibieron tratamiento TARGA por más de 6 meses.
