Objective: To evaluate the incidence and factors associated with suicidal ideation in a sample of resident physicians from two institutions. Materials and methods: A descriptive, observational, prospective and cross-sectional study was carried out to estimate the suicidal ideation and associated factors with the Plutchik Suicide Risk Scale among resident physicians from two hospitals between September and October 2022. Descriptive statistics were used with measures of central tendency and dispersion, as well as relative and absolute frequencies.
