Soil salinity is considered one of the main abiotic stresses that affect rice cultivation throughout the world. The main objective of this study was to carry out the preliminary agronomic evaluation of five commercial rice varieties (INIAP11, INIAP14, SFL-011, INIAP-FL-Arenillas and Fedearroz-60) under saline soil conditions in Yaguachi, Guayas, Ecuador. La producción alimentaria preocupa por el aumento poblacional y la degradación de los suelos debido a su manejo insostenible. Mejorar el rendimiento sostenible del pepino es crucial dada su alta demanda mundial. Se evaluó el impacto de enmiendas orgánicas en la producción de pepino en El Moral, La Maná, Cotopaxi, Ecuador, durante mayo-agosto de 2022. Se emplearon siete tratamientos que abarcaron tres enmiendas orgánicas, tres fuentes minerales y un control sin enmiendas. El diseño experimental fue de bloques completos al azar con cuatro repeticiones y treinta plantas por unidad experimental. Se evaluó la altura de planta, diámetro del tallo, número de hojas a los cuarenta y cinco días después de la siembra, a la cosecha se evaluó la longitud, diámetro, peso del fruto y finalmente el rendimiento por hectárea.
