Nowadays, employees are exposed to high levels of stress within the work context, both due to work overload and the lack of resources to cope with the demands it entails. This makes them more prone to develop burnout, which leads to negative consequences at the individual and organizational level. Therefore, it is important to study variables capable of mitigating the effect of this pathology on the well-being of employees. The present study aims to investigate the relationship between burnout syndrome and engagement in work environments. To this end, an applied review was conducted in the Scopus, APA Psychnet and Scielo databases, from which 10 research studies were selected between 2019 and 2024, considering specific inclusion and exclusion criteria.
