This article deals with the flexural reinforcement of reinforced concrete beams through carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP), with the main objective of comparing the results obtained with a theoretical reinforcement design and those obtained in beams with CFRP reinforcement. tested under point load, as well as establishing the influence it has on the capacity of the beams to bending. El presente trabajo de investigación trata sobre el reforzamiento a flexión de vigas de concreto armado a través de polímero reforzado con fibras de carbono (CFRP), con el objetivo principal de comparar los resultados obtenidos con un diseño de reforzamiento teórico, siguiendo los procedimientos del ACI 440.2R-08, con los obtenidos en vigas con el refuerzo CFRP ensayadas bajo carga puntual, así como establecer la influencia que tiene sobre la capacidad de las vigas a flexión.
