The general objective of this research was to carry out a diagnosis on the current situation of solid waste management, and its relationship with the environmental culture in the Nuevo Punchana Human Settlement of the Punchana District, to establish strategies that contribute to an efficient management of said waste . The methodology used is quantitative, nonexperimental design and the type of cross-sectional, prospective, descriptive research level. For the present study, the 400 families settled in the Nuevo Punchana Human Settlement were taken as the population, for the selection of the sample 24 families were selected at random, with 4 repetitions for each family, which was for convenience.
