Objetivos: Describir la autopercepción de las características y frecuencia de violencia escolar; consumo de tabaco y alcohol, además de la asociación entre las variables en escolares de 4to y 5to de secundaria de tres colegios estales de la ciudad de Piura en Octubre 2017. Métodos: Se realizó un estudio de tipo transversal descriptivo en una muestra representativa de 257 escolares. Se aplicó un cuestionario con 3 secciones para identificar la frecuencia y características de la violencia escolar, el consumo de tabaco y de alcohol. Se realizó un análisis descriptivo con frecuencias absolutas y relativas, y se determinó la asociación entre las variables. Resultados: La frecuencia de violencia escolar fue de 67,7%, consumo de tabaco de 69,6% y consumo de alcohol de 89,1%. Objectives: To validate an instrument for determining the knowledge status with respect to the diagnosis and treatment to be used by general practitioners when facing cases of dengue fever. Material and Method: This is a descriptive and cross-sectional study. We performed a pilot study with 30 physicians for validating the instrument. The final questionnaire had 16 questions. The sample included 115 primary health care facilities and emergency services in hospitals in Lambayeque region. The statistical analysis was performed using absolute and relative rates, chi-square, and ANOVA. Results: When validating the instrument, a Cronbach 0,804 alpha value (>0,8) was found; and the 16-item correlations were 0,438 and 0,852.
