Agricultural producers base their decisions on unofficial information or on their own experience, and despite the fact that there is a state regulator in charge of collecting data on agricultural production, not all producers have access to this information. This article deals with the benefits of implementing a business intelligence system in crop management for agricultural production. This is a quasi-experimental investigation where the data obtained by the La Libertad Regional Agriculture Management and the survey, carried out with agricultural producers in the province of Otuzco, were used as data collection techniques. La presente investigación intenta brindar aporte académico en lo que se refiere a investigaciones a inteligencia de negocios. Esta será utilizada en la administración de cultivos afectando significativamente en la eficacia de este. La aplicación de la inteligencia de negocios en la administración dará como resultados una solución capaz de brindar datos específicos de una un producto agrícola, con los cuales el agricultor podrá tomar una decisión basada en esos datos.
