The article reviews the poetry books Pista de baile of the Peruvian Martín Rodrí-guez-Gaona and La insidia del sol sobre las cosas of the Chilean Germán Carrasco in order to establish a dialogue between the features of young poetry at the end of the 20th century, in both countries, with the common aspects of their production contexts, in order to investigate how they intervened in youth subjectivities and how they were expressed from poetry.

El presente artículo propone un acercamiento al registro esquizoide y a las configuraciones estético-ideológicas en Symbol de Roger Santiváñez a la luz de cómo se traman en ellos, y particularmente en los rasgos de su escritura, las tensiones, preocupaciones y complejidades vinculadas con la guerra interna de los años ochenta e inicios de los noventa y con la nación peruana.

Poets of the “Peruvian poetry of the 1990s” generally avoided to make express reference to the political violence lived in Peru in the 1980s and 1990s. It is a curious fact since that period impacted their lives, during their education and initial participation in the literary field. After 2000, however, many of them decided to face their own silences and wrote books showing not only the will of memory and the critical and lucid view of the process, but also an interesting metapoetic reflection on the possibilities of writing in such situation.
