This article aims to know the perceptions of students in the use of videoconferencing during virtual classes at the university level in times of COVID-19. The study was conducted at the National University of Costa Rica (UNA), Chorotega Region Campus, Liberia. The methodological process was based on mixed research. The sample consisted of 149 first-year students from 7 careers offered during the I Cycle of 2021. The survey is used as an information collection technique. Among the main results obtained is that the preferred platform for videoconferences is Zoom, as well as despite social distancing, this medium has strengthened their learning, but during the process they experience boredom and fatigue.
