The project consists of the recovery of the Santa Catalina barracks for the creation of a multidisciplinary cultural center for the creation and promotion of contemporary art. The barracks are currently configured as an urban void due to the lack of use of the property, which causes the deterioration of its structure due to lack of maintenance. The recovery is based on the principles of critical-conservative approach on restoration, which proposes the use of this type of building for social purposes, respecting the shape of the original building, but adapting it with a view to the future and not for the purpose of preserving the monument intact.
