The pharmaceutical care to hospitalized patients is a useful tool to improve the effectiveness of treatment, prevent problems and avoid diseases, thus unnecessary admissions that diminish the quality of life of patients and generate extra costs for the health system. Sintetizar la evidencia disponible del efecto del magnesio sobre el hiperandrogenismo y perfil metabólico en pacientes con síndrome de ovario poliquístico. Métodos: Se realizó una revisión sistemática y metaanálisis sobre del efecto el magnesio sobre el hiperandrogenismo y perfil metabólico en pacientes con síndrome de ovario poliquístico. Se recopilaron estudios de bases de datos como EMBASE, Cochrane Library, PubMed, Web of Science y Scopus; se seleccionaron los estudios por pares mediante el programa Rayyan y la extracción de datos se recopiló en el programa GraphPad Prism Vs 9.0 y Excel. Luego se evaluó el riesgo de sesgo mediante la escala Rob 2.0 de Cochrane. El análisis estadístico y cuantitativo se realizó usando el software Rev Man 5.4.
