 Objective. To determine the levels of overweight, obesity and self-esteem of adolescents in the rural parish of Valle Hermoso, Santo Domingo de los Colorados (Ecuador). Methods. The study was quantitative, with descriptive scope and transectional design. It was applied to 384 students of the Valle Hermoso Educational Unit, in the Province of Santo Domingo, Ecuador. A survey with 10 questions taken from Rosemberg's questionnaire to explore self-esteem was used. The internal consistency test of the instrument was developed through a Cronbach's alpha test; the data were analyzed at a descriptive level. Results. 13% of the students were  underweight, 61% were normal  weight, and 26% showed levels of overweight and obesity (mild, medium and morbid). Objective. The aim of the study was to determine the influence of negative emotional states (stress, anxiety, and depression) on the mental health of health care workers in times of pandemic. Methods. This was a quantitative study of descriptive scope and cross-sectional design. The questionnaire consisted of 21 questions taken from the DASS 21 scale proposed by Lovibond and Lovibond (1995), and was applied to 229 health care workers in Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas (Ecuador). Statistical analyses were carried out using Excel and SPSS 21. Results. Stress and anxiety were severe in health care workers over 31 years of age working in public and private hospitals; while anxiety was extremely severe in all study participants. Conclusions. Objective. To identify the relationship between overload and the presence of  stress, anxiety, and depression stress in caregivers of disabled people. Methods. The study was quantitative, correlational in scope and cross-sectional in design. A total of 384 caregivers of people with disabilities were part of the study sample, selected by convenience sampling. A survey with 47 questions was administered. Statistical analyses were developed in Statistical Package for Social Sciences 24, calculating both the normality of the data and the  correlations of the variables. Results. Objective. To determine the level of influence of creativity and resilience in the polychronicity of nurses who work in emergency areas in public and private hospitals in Santo Domingo de los Colorados, Ecuador. Methods. The study was quantitative, of correlational scope and cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of health professionals in the nursing area of public hospitals and the sample consisted of 411 nurses. A survey with 15 questions was used for data collection and the statistical tests were developed through exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confrmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural equation modeling (SEM); developed through SPSS 21 and AMOS 24. Objective. To identify the relationship between family functioning and thepresence of anxiety, depression and stress in older adults in Santo Domingo de los Colorados (Ecuador). Methods. The research was developed under a quantitativeresearch paradigm, of correlational scope and cross-sectional design. The study sample consisted of 384 older adults from Santo Domingo de los Colorados, who were administered a survey composed of 32 questions. Five questions measured demographic aspects of the participants, 21 measured mental health levels (DASS21) and 5 measured family functionality (APGAR).
