The research aimed to determine the relationship between visual memory and reading comprehension in children five years of School Home No. 314 - Rupacucha the district of Rioja in 201 O, to achieve this general objective, made three specific objectives, which are about the description of the variables independently and the relationship between them. Research variables are visual memory and reading comprehension, visual memory comprises two dimensions: the approach to the graphical components and initial l.iteracy, reading comprehension, was measured at the literal level.
