Las infecciones Asociadas a la atención en Salud (IAAS) son aquellas que el paciente adquiere mientras recibe tratamiento y en quien la infección no se había manifestado ni estaba en período de incubación en el momento del ingreso al hospital. Objetivo: describir las características clínico-epidemiológicas y el perfil microbiológico de las IAAS del Hospital Base Almanzor Aguinaga Asenjo. Materiales y métodos: estudio observacional, descriptivo. Se obtuvo información de las fichas de datos de pacientes incluidos en los estudios de prevalencia puntual en los periodos 2014 II, 2015 I-IV y 2016 I-II, obtenidas de la oficina de Inteligencia Sanitaria. Objetive: Describe the clinical-epidemiological characteristics and the microbiological profile of the IAAS of the Base Hospital Almanzor Aguinaga Asenjo. Material and methods: observational, descriptive study. Information was obtained from the data sheets of patients included in the point prevalence studies in the 2014 II, 2015 I-IV and 2016 I-II periods, obtained from the Office of Sanitary Intelligence. In addition, the results of the crops were reviewed through the VITEK automated system. A descriptive analysis was carried out by measures of central tendency and percentages. Results: 1617 patients were evaluated, 144 patients were identified with IAAS. ICFs used in Lambayeque hospitals were assessed with respect to their quality of structure and contents with the participation of Ethics Committees. Two categories were established: complied (if the forms were complete and detailed); or non-compliant (because of omission or confounding). The undergraduate thesis rather than a requirement to graduate, are a way of doing research. Previous studies show a thesis published between 2.7% to 17.6% in indexed journals. Objective: To describe the characteristics of the undergraduate thesis of a medical school. Material and Methods: Bibliometric study. 221 theses were reviewed, collecting: year, number of authors, advisers, and references, study population, and national priorities for health research. A search was performed on Google Scholar to assess publication. Descriptive statistics were used. Results: Of the total, 91.6% of thesis had one advisor, 76% were descriptive, 82.8% were done in a hospital population, 62.4% in adults.
