Wildfires are part of the socio-ecological history of fire-prone territories such as Mediterranean Europe. However, during the las decades, the increasing severity of wildfires due to socio-environmental factors have revealed the vulnerability of these socio-ecological systems (SESs) in the face of global environmental change, revealing the need to increase resilience in the face of wildfires.
