El presente trabajo de investigación identifica los principales problemas de la empresa productora de manjar blanco y propone optimizar su desempeño mediante la aplicación adecuada de herramientas de distribución de planta. El objetivo principal consiste en determinar de qué manera la distribución de planta contribuye a mejorar la productividad en dicha empresa. La investigación se clasifica como aplicada, con un diseño cuasi-experimental, de nivel explicativo y con un enfoque cuantitativo. La población de estudio estuvo conformada por las unidades producidas en un periodo de 26 días. Para la recolección de datos se emplearon como instrumentos una ficha de registro, una huincha topográfica y un cronómetro.
